Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Braap is an app for finding and organising motorcycle rides. It's run by Amin Laanaya (Homerusstraat 27, Amersfoort, Netherlands). Using the app means accepting these terms. Our Privacy Policy covers what we do with your information and is part of them.

1. What we do and don't do

We give you a place to post rides, find rides and talk to other riders. We don't organise the rides, lead them, or check the people on them.

2. Using the app

You need to be 16 or older and hold a valid licence for whatever you ride. One person, one account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

You can delete your account any time in Profile > "Settings" > "Delete account". Rides which you hosted stay up without your details, because other people joined them.

3. Riding is your responsibility

This is the important one.

Riding is dangerous, and riding with people you've never met is more so:

4. Your content

Your profile, photos, rides and messages stay yours and we don't claim them.

We just need permission to store and show them so the app works — display your profile to other riders, put your ride on the map, deliver your messages. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account from the application.

Only post what's yours to post, and keep it legal.

5. Rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive riders.

No warnings for anything on this list — accounts that post it get removed.

Don't post or send:

Also don't scrape the app, take it apart, or attack it.

How we enforce this:

We can remove content or accounts without notice. We don't check everything before it's posted.

6. The app itself

The code, design, name and logo are ours. You get a personal licence to use the app on your own Apple devices. That's it.

7. Supporter

Braap is free. Supporter is an optional subscription that adds a badge, an animated profile backdrop, a custom @handle, a pulse on your rides, and multiple routes per ride. It doesn't gate anything you need to find or join a ride.

€4.99 a month, or €49.99 a year. The paywall shows your local price before you buy — that's the one that applies.

It renews automatically. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before each period ends, unless you cancel first.

To cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or "Manage subscription" in the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling stops the next charge — it doesn't refund the period you're in, and you keep Supporter until it runs out.

Refunds are Apple's, not ours. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

We may change what Supporter costs or includes. Apple will ask you to approve any price rise before it takes effect.

8. Changes and availability

We're still building this. Features will change, and the app will sometimes be down. We provide it as it is, with no promise it's always available or error-free.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app first. We may suspend your access if you break them, and we'll give reasonable notice if we ever shut the app down.

9. Where our responsibility ends

We're not responsible for what other riders do — on the app or on the road. That covers accidents, injuries, damage, theft and disputes on rides you found here. We're not responsible for what other riders post, or for decisions you make based on it. Where we are liable, it's limited to what you've paid us in the past year.

This doesn't cover things the law won't let us disclaim — injury caused by our own negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under EU and Dutch law. Those stand regardless.

Dutch law applies, and Dutch courts hear disputes — but if you're a consumer in the EU, you keep your own country's protections and can sue locally. Email [email protected] first, though. Most things are quicker to fix that way.

10. Apple

This agreement is with us, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for the app. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain it. Any claim about the app — product liability, consumer protection, intellectual property — is ours to answer, not Apple's.

You confirm you're not in a country under U.S. embargo or on a U.S. restricted-parties list.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

11. Leftovers

If part of these terms doesn't hold up, the rest still does. Not enforcing something once doesn't mean we've dropped it. You can't transfer your rights here; we can transfer ours if the app changes hands, and we'll tell you if that happens.
